Mr. Aditya Sen .......For the Petitioner In the instant application petitioner has prayed for transfer of 08.09.2025 Court No.29 g.b.

the proceeding being C. R. Case No. 91 of 2021 under Section 138 read with Section 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act presently pending before the learned Additional Judicial Magistrate, Arambagh to the court of City Sessions, Kolkata on the ground that the petitioner is suffering from various physical ailments and is facing difficulty in reaching court at Arambagh from his residence as the distance is about 87 kilometres and also because the matter is pending for a long time since 2021 though it is the mandate of the statute that every such criminal proceeding should be disposed of within six months.

Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner I do not find any substance in the prayer for transfer. However, the present application being CRR 2168 of 2025 is disposed of with a direction upon the court below to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the said criminal proceeding being CR case No. 91 of 2021 and to make his best efforts to conclude the proceeding preferably within a period of six months from the next date of hearing. With the above observation and direction CRR 2168

of 2025 stands disposed of.
