The present writ petition has been filed for consideration of the representation of the petitioners seeking compassionate appointment as per the assurance given by the ruling dispensation.

The provision of law pursuant to which the compassionate appointment may be offered, has not been placed before this Court. The persons who died were not serving in any Government office.

I am afraid that only relying upon the assurance of the ruling political dispensation, no direction can be passed for considering the prayer of the petitioners for providing compassionate appointment. The writ petition is utterly misconceived and liable to be dismissed with exemplary costs.

Keeping in view that the writ petition is being moved by a fairly junior member of the Bar, the writ petition is dismissed simplicitor without imposition of costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all formalities, on priority basis.
