No. 29 CHC Rejected C.R.M.(A) 1928 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Khargram Police Station Case No. 42 of 2023 dated 13.02.2023 under Sections 448/325/326/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

And In the matter of : Tapan Bagdi ...... petitioner Mr. Manas Kumar Das, Mr. Aritra Kumar Thokdar ....for the petitioner Mr. Joydeep Roy, Ms. Sujata Das ....for the State Two persons suffered injuries in an incident of assault. Thumb of one of the injured was amputated. Injury suffered by one was on the head. Injuries were classified as grievous hurt. Petitioner stands implicated in the incident of assault. Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

C.R.M.(A) 1928 of 2023 is rejected.
