Petitioners submit that inspite of informing the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata in respect of they being defrauded, no action has been taken by the police authorities.

A report has been submitted by the Officer-inCharge, Cyber Crime Police Station, Kolkata. Report reflects that the informant and a group of persons from Bankura were participating in such online fantasy gaming procedure. Police authorities have also stated in the report that relevant information relating to the magnitude of the cheated amount as they claimed were asked to be furnished which were not responded to.

Since all the residents who complained are staying within the jurisdiction of different police station of Bankura District, the complaint of Ujjwal Mandal and others have been forwarded to the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Bankura District from the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Kolkata for taking necessary action at their end. In view of the steps taken by sending/forwarding information received to the jurisdictional police station, petitioner if so advised would communicate with the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Bankura District in respect of their grievance.

Learned advocate appearing for the private respondent no.7 as also learned advocate appearing for private respondent nos. 9 to 11 are present.

Having considered the nature of the directions passed, I am of the view that the private respondents at this stage are not affected.

Accordingly, WPA 11900 of 2024 is disposed of. Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the parties concerned.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
