Mr. Dev Kumar Sharma Mr. Satya Prakash Shaw ....for the petitioner Mr. Shoham Sanyal ....for the CESC Limited The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the CESC Limited in providing an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there are objections by the private respondents which are preventing CESC Limited from granting any such connection.

Pursuant to orders of Court, repeated attempts have been made to the effect service on the private respondents.

The private respondent remains unrepresented.

It appears form the Tracking Report that the private respondent was absent on one occasion and has refused service on another occasion. In such circumstances, the private respondent has been duly served and is intentionally not represented.

In view of the Report filed on behalf of the CESC Limited, the only objection in granting such

electricity connection has been raised by the private respondent. Otherwise, CESC Limited has no objection in providing an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. There is no merit in any such objection which is purely civil in nature and not based on any entitlement or right.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 11414 of 2026 stands allowed. The CESC Limited is directed to effect a fresh connection to the premises of the petitioner preferably within four weeks from the date of passing of this order.

Liberty is granted to the CESC Limited to take necessary police assistance if the circumstances so warrant. Any cost or expenses for such electricity connection would be exclusively borne by the petitioner.

With the above directions, WPA 11414 of 2026 stands disposed of.
