Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits since prayer is made for correction of date of birth issue needs to be gone into by the concerned authority of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (for short 'Board').

State respondents and Board are represented by learned advocates. It is submitted by Ms.

Bhattacharyya, learned advocate representing Board that candidate who is seeking correction of date of birth is required to submit an application in prescribed format before the concerned authority of the Board based on which exercise shall be made complete to take decision.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties, writ petition stands disposed of granting leave to the petitioner to make an application in prescribed format before the President of the Board within fortnight from date.

If application in the prescribed format has been made within the aforesaid time President of the Board being respondent no. 3 is directed to decide the same in accordance with law by 8 (eight) weeks thereafter.

Decision to be taken by the respondent no. 3 shall be communicated to the petitioner by 10 (ten) days thereafter.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
