Pursuant to an order passed by this Court on November 21, 2022 in WPA 23077 of 2022, a representation was made by the petitioner before the Superintendent of Police on November 26, 2022. The petitioner was engaged as a civic volunteer. Due to his illness he could not continue with his duties. After recovery from his illness, the petitioner prayed for resumption of such duties. However, the said representation of the petitioner was not considered. Considering the submissions of the parties and the materials placed on record, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Government Railway Police, Siliguri/respondent no.2 or any other authority delegated by him to consider the representation of the petitioner dated November 26, 2022 within 8 weeks from date. A reasoned order may be passed and

communicated to the petitioner within 2 weeks of passing thereof.

With the directions aforesaid, WPA 11139 of 2023 is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been directed to be exchanged in the writ petition, the allegations contained therein are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents.

All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble Court.
