The petitioner is admittedly a retired employee of Steel Authority of India Limited (in short SAIL). The petitioner in this writ petition is ventilating his grievance as to his service benefits.

This Court in respect of service matter of the employees of SAIL is denuded of its jurisdiction. The appropriate forum is the jurisdictional administrative tribunal constituted under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985.

The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal of competent jurisdiction for the self-same reliefs. In the event the petitioner approaches the competent Central Administrative Tribunal within a period of two weeks from date, the time spent between 22nd July, 2021, being the date of filing of the writ petition, and the

date of passing of the instant order shall be treated to be a litigation conducted in a Court without jurisdiction.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. (Arindam Mukherjee, J.)
