Public Prosecutor Ms. Faria Hossain Mr. Anand Kesari ... ... for the State Having considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in trafficking women for sexual exploitation, we are of the opinion in view of the gravity of the offence this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is thus rejected.

However, in view of the protracted period of detention suffered by the petitioner, we direct the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
