1. None represents the respondents despite service.

2. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

3. The petitioner alleges that the Sub Divisional Officer, (Suri) Sadar, Birbhum is not releasing payment despite successful completion of work by the petitioner.

4. Representation made by the petitioner before the Sub Divisional Officer, (Suri) Sadar, Birbhum is pending consideration for a considerable period of time.

5. The petitioner has annexed the Completion Certificate issued by the Sub Divisional Officer on 13th November, 2020 in support of satisfactory completion of work.

6. In the absence of the respondent, it is not possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively.

7. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Sub Divisional Officer, Suri (Sadar), Birbhum to consider the petitioner's prayer for release of payment upon satisfactory completion of work in accordance with the work order at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of

communication of this order after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

8. If the bills raised by the petitioner appear to be proper, then necessary steps for releasing the payment of the petitioner shall be taken immediately thereafter.

9. The writ petition stands disposed of.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
