The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the Jamuria Police Station. It is alleged that steps have not been taken on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner. The first contention is that the stridhan articles have not been seized. The second contention is that the accused persons have not been apprehended. Directions are being sought for upon the police authorities in this writ petition. Learned Advocate appearing for the respondent nos.5 to 15 submits that the accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail by the learned Sessions Judge, Paschim Bardhaman.

Copies of the order dated May 6, 2022 and April 29, 2022 have been produced before this Court. A

seizure list has also been produced before this Court indicating that the articles have been seized. The police authorities have also issued notices upon the accused persons under Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Stridhan articles have been seized and the houses of the accused persons have been raided. The police authorities have ensured that the statement of the victim is recorded before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 5th Court at Asansol.

Under such circumstances, nothing remains to be decided in this proceeding save and except that the Jamuria Police Station Case No.22 of 2022 dated January 14, 2022, be investigated in a free and impartial manner and concluded expeditiously. With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of.
