The only prayer of the petitioner is for a direction on the respondent, being The Registrar of Companies, West Bengal to take necessary steps in terms of a representation made by the petitioner on 12th November, 2021.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was incorporated as a Private Limited Company, which would also be reflected from the Articles of Association. However, the Company Master Data shows that the petitioner has been described as a Public Company.

After considering the documents on record and the fact that The Registrar of Companies, West Bengal has not taken any steps after November, 2010, W.P.A.10465 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on The Registrar of Companies, West Bengal to take necessary steps and rectify the Company Master Data within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order.
