Mr. Prantick Ghosh Mr. Prasad Bhattacharyya Mr. Snehasish Ghosh ...for the petitioner Mr. Aloke Chatterjee Mr. Arghya Mullick ...for the Municipality Mr. Jahar Datta Mr. Bipin Ghosh ...for the State It is not in dispute that the petitioner obtained a sanctioned plan for construction of a building at LR Khatian No.1963, Holding No.455/1, Ramkrishna Pally, Madhyamgram, District-24 Parganas (North). The petitioner alleges that due to resistance from the local club, the petitioner could not complete the construction work. He, however, applied for renewal of his sanctioned plan before the Municipality on June 6, 2023. The said renewal has not yet been considered by the Municipality.

Learned advocate appearing for the Municipality submits that the petitioner's plan has expired and he could not complete the construction work during the validity of the plan.

In the aforesaid facts, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the Municipality to

consider the renewal of plan within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order subject to payment of necessary fees by the petitioner. Accordingly, WPA 12097 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on compliance of usual legal formalities.
