Mr. Suman Ghosh Mr. Aayush Sharma ....for the petitioner Mr. Dr. Madhusudan Saha Roy ....for the WBSEDCL Mr. Pratip Mukherjee Mr. Sakir Hossain ....for the private respondent nos. 4 to 7 The grievance of the petitioner is directed against refusal of WBSEDCL to supply a fresh electricity connection to the submersible pump of the petitioner.

On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that more than half the work for providing such connection to the petitioner has been completed. However, there has been obstruction by the private respondents.

On behalf of the private respondents, it is submitted that necessary construction work has been carried out on the agricultural land and the same has caused irreparable prejudice and harm to the private respondents.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 11477 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to provide such

electricity connection to the submersible pump being operated by the petitioner in accordance with law and after compliance with all statutory formalities.

It is clarified that in carrying out such exercise, WBSEDCL shall be at liberty to take police assistance from the respondent no. 3 at the cost of the petitioner.
