Mr. Rajib Mallick, Mr. Rakesh Sarkar, Ms. Shreyashi Maity ...for the petitioner Affidavit of service filed in Court today by the learned counsel for the petitioner is taken on record.

Despite service, the respondents-bank are not represented.

The petitioner claims to have provided security services for taking possession of assets to the Oriental Bank of Commerce and the United Bank of India which has since been merged as Punjab National Bank. It is submitted that the bills submitted by the petitioner have neither been disputed nor paid.

In that view of the matter, the Punjab National Bank, Durgapur Branch shall dispose of the petitioner's representation dated June 22, 2021, within a period of 2 months from the date of communication of a coy of this order. A reasoned order may be passed and the same may be communicated to the petitioner.

The petitioner and/or his legal representatives shall be heard in person by the respondent-bank.

In the event, if it is found that any amount is due and payable to the petitioner, the same shall be released to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible thereafter.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
