Case No. 647/18 arising out of Sonarpur P.S. Case No. 160/18 under Sections 447/325/379/506/468/34 of the Indian Penal Code adding Sections 420/467/471/386 and Section 25/27 Arms Act, in which charge sheet no. 492/18 dated 26.04.2018 has already been submitted, but the trial has not yet commenced. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the opposite party no. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has placed a copy of the last order passed by the trial Court.

From the said order sheet and the materials on record, it appears that though the proceeding was initiated in the year 2019, the trial in the said case has not yet commenced and the trial Court is not making any effort to ensure that the trial in the present case commences.

Mr. Sourav Chatterjee, learned counsel for the opposite party no. 2 has vehemently opposed the said prayer of the

petitioner on the ground that, the pendency of the present revision has caused the delay in the proceedings before the trial Court and that the trial Court could not commence, because of the pendency of the criminal revision.

Considering the said facts, the materials on record and the fact that the proceeding in the present case is of the year 2018, the learned trial Court is directed to proceed with the trial expeditiously and complete the same preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order. The present revisional application is accordingly disposed of.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
