1. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks an expeditious hearing of an application under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 pending at the behest of the petitioner-financial institution beyond the statutory period. On query of court, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instruction, submits that no application under Section 17 of the said Act and/or interim order is pending or subsisting in connection with the said matter.

2. Accordingly, WPA No. 11992 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Birbhum (respondent no. 2 herein) to dispose of the pending application of the petitioner under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from the date of communication of this order to the said respondent.

3. There will be no order as to costs.

4. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
