Petitioner is aggrieved by the non-action of the police in investigating a complaint lodged by the petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the complaint of the petitioner was registered as a First Information Report and that the investigations with regard thereto are in progress. He submits that, on February 14, 2021, the complainant declared that she gave a wrong bank account number. Upon the correct bank account number being furnished, police progressed with the investigations. Two persons were arrested and they were forwarded to the Jurisdictional Court today. He submits that, further investigations are in progress.

In view of the police taking steps as noted above, further interference by a Writ Court, at this stage, is not required.

WPA 11800 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly without any order as to costs.
