Tanushree Banerjee ....For the State In view of the innocuous prayer of the petitioner, that is, his representation dated February 19, 2024, addressed to the Director of District Distribution, Procurement and Supply, be considered and disposed of by the said respondent, the Court finds its proper to dispose of the present writ petition with a similar direction. Let the writ petition being WPA No. 12030 of 2024 be disposed of directing the Director of District Distribution, Procurement and Supply to consider the petitioner's letter dated February 19, and decide thereupon, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and by delivering the reasoned order, if not prayer of the petitioner is allowed.

Needless is to mention that in case the said respondent considers for granting prayer of the writ petitioner made in the said representation,

immediate necessary follow up steps shall be taken by the same.

Let the writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, shall be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
