The petitioner is in custody for 98 days and prays for bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the victim who is the principal accused of the case as well as the other accused have been granted bail considering the merits of the case. The petitioner is also entitled to bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. It appears that the anticipatory bail of the petitioner was turned down by this Court on 11th May, 2023. The petitioner failed to surrender before the learned trial Court after rejection of her anticipatory bail and was arrested only on 8th March, 2025. Considering the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
