Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioners lodged four complaints with the police. On investigation, the police submitted charge sheet in respect of three. Since the petitioners volunteered to make a statement under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code in one of them, charge sheet was not submitted with regard thereto. He submits that the police received two complaints against the petitioners. Such complaints were investigated into and charge sheet submitted.

Since the police are taking steps as noted above, further interference by the writ court is not called. The police will facilitate the recording of the statement under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code by the petitioners in one of the complaint as noted above.

The police will submit appropriate report before the jurisdictional court in respect of such complaint as expeditiously as possible thereafter. WPA 11797 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly.
