A copy of the report has been handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. The petitioner has approached this Court since the representations which were made to the Inspector-in-Charge, Dhantala Police Station, SDPO, Ranaghat and the Superintendent of Police of the concerned district were not considered. The petitioner's main accusation is that his wife along with her minor daughter left her matrimonial house and thereafter they did not return. Consequent to which his mother-in-law accused certain individuals.

State has submitted a report which incorporates a statement made before the learned Magistrate. The statement of Sima Mondal was recorded by learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court, Ranaghat, Nadia wherein she stated that she on her own has gone out of her paternal home after there was a dispute with her mother. Police

authorities have also prepared a recovery memo in respect of Dhantala P.S. GDE No. 828 dated 14.04.2025 and 1327 dated 22.05.2025.

Having considered that the said Sima Mondal is aged about 26 years along with her minor daughter Isha Mondal, aged about 5 years has returned to her paternal home, I am of the view that the grievance of the petitioner, for the time being, has been addressed.

The petitioner would be at liberty to address other issues before the concerned police station. So far as the writ petition is concerned, further pendency of the same is unwarranted.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 11396 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
