Mr. Tapodip Gupta Mr. Suman Bhanja Mr. Golam Ahammed ...for the petitioners Mr. Kalidas Saha ....for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case. Out of 14 accused persons, 4 were granted anticipatory bail. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He submits that the accused who were granted anticipatory bail were female members of the household. He submits that 5 persons have already been arrested. The accused persons inflicted injuries on 5 victims, out of whom 2 suffered grievous injuries. He refers to the statements of witnesses and the injury reports.

It appears that some of the injuries inflicted were serious ones on the vital parts of the body, like the head, requiring stitches for repair. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
