Learned counsel appearing for the State submits upon instructions that the concerned Officer-in-Charge of the Purba Medinipur Police Station has decided on 20th June, 2022 that the appropriate authority for grant of permission is the Sub-Divisional Officer.

Since it appears from the materials on record that the petitioner has already applied before the SubDivisional Officer, Egra Sub-Division, Purba Medinipur on 7th April, 2022 and has not received any response since then, the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 4, being the Sub-

Divisional Officer, Egra Sub-Division, Purba Medinipur to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 7th April, 2022 within a period of seven days from today.

The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioner within two days from the date of taking such decision.

WPA 10597 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
