Report is enclosed with the statement as well as the declaration of the de facto complainant Smt. Rupa Banerjee. It was submitted on behalf of the petitioner earlier that there has been an amicable settlement between the parties. The statement as well as the declaration also reflect that the matrimonial discord and dispute between the parties have been settled and the de facto complainant/opposite party no. 2 do not intend to pursue with the present criminal case. Having regard to the same, I am of the view that further continuation of the criminal proceedings may result in harassment.

Accordingly, all further proceedings of Lake Town P.S. Case No. 66 of 2016 dated 18.04.2016 wherein charge-sheet was submitted under Sections 498A/406 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of D.P. Act and is pending before the

learned Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar, North 24 Parganas, is hereby quashed.

Consequently, the revisional application being CRR 1723 of 2023 along with the application being CRAN 1 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
