Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. In any event, no grievous injury was caused.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He submits that when the victims had gone to disconnect an unauthorized connection of electricity, the petitioner and others assaulted them, causing serious injuries. The application for anticipatory bail of a similarly circumstanced coaccused was turned down by this Court on 24.02.2026 in CRM (A) 471 of 2026. He relies on the statements of witnesses and the injury report.

Considering the above, the other incriminating materials available in the case diary and the fact that a similarly circumstanced co-accused was denied the benefit of anticipatory bail by this Court, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is, thus, rejected.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
