The Block Development Officer, Daspur-II Development Block shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated January 31, 2023. By such representation, the petitioner as the widowed daughter of the pensioner has prayed for grant of family pension. Such prayer has been made on the strength of the Memorandum No.732-F(Pen) dated November 12, 2008.

The authority shall process the papers. A hearing shall be given to the petitioner and Pradhan of the Nischintapur Gram Panchayat where the petitioner's father was working as a Group-D employee. Necessary orders shall be passed. If the petitioner is found eligible for grant of family pension, the pension sanctioning authority shall prepare all the papers and forward the same to the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance within a month from the date of communication of this order. Thereafter the

pension payment order shall be issued within a month from receipt of the papers. If the petitioner is found ineligible, necessary communication shall be made with reasons. The entire exercise shall be completed within a month as directed hereinabove.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
