Despite service, the private respondent remains unrepresented. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the CESC Limited in providing a fresh electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

On behalf of the CESC Limited, it is submitted that they have no objection in providing an electricity connection subject to police assistance being provided.

In view of the above, WPA 11207 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the concerned police authorities having jurisdiction in respect of the premises of the petitioner to provide necessary assistance to the CESC Limited.

It is made clear that any expense for the police authorities would be borne by the petitioner exclusively.

The CESC Limited is directed to provide the necessary electricity connection to the petitioner upon payment of all statutory dues and compliance with all necessary formalities.

The above exercise is to be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If necessary, the police is directed to break open the padlock in providing such electricity connection.
