For the State This is an application praying for expediting the investigation in a case under Section 379 of the Penal Code. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that initially a report in final form was submitted seeking discharge of the accused. However, upon challenge by the de facto complainant in CRR 3311 of 2016, this Court was pleased to direct further investigation into the offence on 21.12.2016.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits a report, which is taken on record. From the report it appears that a final report was again submitted in the case being Baguiati Police Station FRT No. 259 of 2020 dated 08.07.2020 under Section 379 of the Penal Code, seeking discharge of the accused.

Since a final report has been submitted in this case, the present application has become infructuous.

Accordingly, the revisional application is dismissed as infructuous.
