The petitioner prays for transfer of his bank account in the Bank of India from one branch to the other.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits, upon instruction that, the amount which the petitioner is holding in the bank has been reported to be the misappropriated sum of an Ashram. A complaint was lodged by the Ashram against the petitioner and the bank has maintained a lien over the said amount. 3.

Learned counsel representing the petitioner asserts that the said money is the private money of the petitioner which she received upon sale of property of her deceased husband.

It appears from the submission made on behalf of both the parties that the bank is yet to communicate to the petitioner the reason for not transferring her bank account.

As disputed question of facts have been raised by the parties, the writ Court is not inclined to enter into or adjudicate the same on merits.

The Branch Manager of the Bank of India Tatla Branch is directed to intimate the petitioner the reason for not transferring the bank account of the petitioner as per her request at the earliest but positively within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the competent forum for remedy of her grievances. 8.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
