Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that he is in custody for more than 18 years and 7 months for two offences, one under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and another case also under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. In respect of the first case the date of conviction was 4th June, 2015 and in respect of the second case it was 10th July, 2015. State has submitted a report. Report reflects that in the 69th Meeting held on 02.09.2022 the petitioner's prayer was not recommended for premature release by the State Sentence Review Board.

Having considered that more than two and a half years have passed since then, petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the

State Sentence Review Board who will consider the representation of the petitioner on the next meeting to be held by the State Sentence Review Board. The finality of the order or decision taken in respect of the present petitioner be communicated within a fortnight from the date on which the decision was taken by the State Sentence Review Board.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 12160 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report has been handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
