Petitioner seeks bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner possesses requisite drug licence. He submits that there are invoices to back up the purchase of the contraband seized from the possession of the petitioner. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the contraband seized was in a jerrican without having a brand of any manufacturer.

Considering the fact that commercial quantity of contraband was seized from the possession of the petitioner, we are unable to return a finding under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, 1985 in favour of the petitioner. Consequently, the prayer for grant of bail stands rejected.

C.R.M. 4948 of 2021 is dismissed accordingly. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Ananda Kumar Mukherjee, J.)
