Banerjee) This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the wife praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court-IV at Barrackpore to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner under Section 36 of the Hindu Marriage Act expeditiously. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party. However, the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order, upon the opposite party or upon the learned advocate representing the opposite party before the learned trial judge.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that on April 24, 2025 the wife/petitioner herein has already filed the affidavit of assets and liabilities but the husband took time on several

occasions and the learned trial judge has fixed July 25, 2025 for filing of the affidavit of assets of the husband.

Learned trial judge is requested to make an endeavour to dispose of the application under Section 36 of the Hindu Marriage Act as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the next date fixed, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

With the above directions CO 1784 of 2025 stands disposed of accordingly.
