For the State The present revision has been preferred praying for speedy disposal of Sessions Case No. 297 of 2021 in connection with Palashipara Police Station Case No. 262 of 2021 dated 11.7.2021 under section 306/34 of the Indian Penal Code now pending before the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Tehatta, Nadia.

As directed by the Court vide order dated 13.6.2023, the learned counsel appearing for the State has placed a report.

It appears from the report that appointment in respect of Public Prosecutor to conduct the case has been made on 7th August, 2023. Date was fixed for framing of charge. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that 2nd December, 2024 has been fixed for evidence but till date the de facto complainant or other witnesses have not received any summons. It is

further submitted that three such schedules had been prepared by the Court, but Court did not proceed as per the schedule.

Considering the submissions made and the present status of the case, the revisional application is disposed of with the direction upon the learned District Judge, Nadia to personally enquire into the delay in the trial of the said case and take necessary action to ensure that the trial in the present case is completed preferably within a year from the date of this order.

Let a copy of this order be immediately sent to the learned trial Court and to the learned District Judge, Nadia for immediate compliance. Learned counsel for the State is directed to communicate the order to the learned Public Prosecutor who shall bring the matter to the notice of the learned District Judge.

The criminal revision is accordingly disposed of.
