The State of West Bengal and another The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of Complaint Case No.244 of 2020 which was pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas. The said proceedings are under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Having regard to the contentions advanced in the present revisional application and the fact that the said case was initiated in the year 2020, I am of the opinion that the learned Judicial Magistrate should fix regular dates at an interval of 45 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties and all efforts must be taken to conclude the trial to its logical conclusion. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1516 of 2021 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
