Mr. Pradip Kumar Kundu ..for the petitioner The petitioner alleges that respondent nos. 7 to 11 are constructing a building at L.R. Dag No. 356 under ward no.33 Maheshtala Municipality, South 24 Parganas without any sanctioned plan.

The petitioner alleges that she made a representation dated April 22, 2024 before Maheshtala Municipality against such unauthorised construction but the Municipality has not taken any steps. In view of the aforesaid facts, I dispose of this writ petition giving a direction upon Maheshtala Municipality to consider the representation dated April 22, 2024 in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order. In arriving at its decision, the Municipality shall hear the petitioner as well as the persons responsible for making the construction.

The Municipality shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the parties within a period of seven days thereafter.

Accordingly, WPA 12221 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
