This is a revision filed by the petitioner praying for expeditious disposal of the G.R.Case No.3021/2015 arising out Baguihati Police Station Case No.738/2015 under Sections 3/4/5/6/7 of the Immoral Traffic Act and Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. It appears from the record that a suo moto FIR was lodged on 14th August, 2015 against the five persons including the petitioner on the basis of which Baguihati Police Station Case No.738/2015 under the above penal provisions was registered. Subsequently charge-sheet was

filed in the said case on 15th October, 2015. After a lapse of 6 years the case was fixed for trial by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, North 24-Parganas vide order dated 18th May, 2022. The next date was fixed on 3rd September, 2022 for appearance and disposal of the case. Since the petitioner being one of the accused of the case has come up for expeditious disposal of the case, this Court is of the view that the instant revision can be disposed of herein now. Mr. Anwar Hossain and Ms. Manisha Sharma, learned Public Prosecutor-in-Charge are requested to represent the State of West Bengal.

Having heard the learned Counsel for the parties, the instant revision is disposed of directing the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate to take all steps for consideration of charge against the accused persons within one month from the date of communication of the order and complete witness action within six months thereafter. With the above direction, the instant criminal revision is disposed of on contest. There shall however be no costs. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.)
