This is a contempt application under the Contempt of Court's Act, 1971 as well as under Article 215 of the Constitution of India filed by the petitioners on 17th July, 2000 seeking punishment of the alleged contemnors for violation of the order dated 12th July, 1997 passed in W.P. 12775 (W) of 1997.

While the contempt application was filed by Anil Kumar Kole, one of the petitioners, who affirmed the application, was aged about 50 years. If he is alive, he is now aged about 72 years. Since the filing of the application, none appeared for the petitioners to press the application. I feel that the petitioners are no longer interested to proceed with the contempt application on hand. Accordingly, the contempt application is dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioners.

Let this contempt application along with the order passed today be tagged with the main file by the concerned department.
