Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arrested on or about 06.12.2024 and since then she is in custody. There has been alleged recovery of 594 grams of brown sugar. However, in spite of the investigation having been concluded, no steps have been taken for subsequent progress of the case.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the seizure was of commercial quantity. I have taken into account the quantum of seizure and I am of the opinion that Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted. Consequently, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(NDPS) 596 of 2025 is dismissed.

State would take steps for expediting the progress of the

trial.
