Amitesh Banerjee, Senior Advocate representing the State, submits that the report of the Cyber Forensics & Digital Evidence Examiner's Laboratory, Criminal Investigation Department is ready and has been sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) on 28th February 2022.

It is expected that the DCP shall conclude the enquiry as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one month from date and suitable orders shall be passed within the aforesaid time.

It is expected that the consequential and remedial action shall also be taken thereafter. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

In view of the dismissal of the main writ petition, connected applications, if any, shall also stand dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since the respondents have not used any affidavits, the allegations made in the writ petition, shall not be deemed to have been admitted by them.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
