Singh Mr. Sandipan Das ... for the petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Bitasok Banerjee ... for the State Heard the learned advocate appearing for both the parties. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner in collusion with one Tushar Baidya induced the de-facto complainant to deposit Rs.10 lakhs on the false promise of procuring loan from a cooperative bank. A portion of the amount was withdrawn by the petitioner.

In view of the prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime and bearing in mind the gravity of the offence, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to him. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
