Sneha Chakraborty Mr. Souvick Mitra ...for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution is at the instance of the husband praying for disposal of a matrimonial suit being Mat. Suit No.1083 of 2021 pending in the court of the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court, at Alipore expeditiously. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the hearing of the matrimonial suit is being adjourned from time to time.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity of issuance of notice upon the opposite party. However, learned advocate for the petitioner shall be obliged to serve a copy of this revisional application along with this order upon the opposite party or upon the learned advocate representing the opposite party before the trial judge.

From the order sheet appended to this application, this court finds that July 22, 2025 is fixed for hearing of the application for amendment of plaint.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the written objection to the amendment application has already been filed in the meantime and that the amendment application is otherwise ready for hearing.

In the light of the aforesaid submission, CO No.1800 of 2025 is disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court at Alipore to take up the hearing of the application for amendment on the next date fixed, if the same is otherwise is ready for hearing. The learned judge is requested to make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

After disposal of the interlocutory application, the learned trial judge is requested to make an endeavour to dispose of the matrimonial suit as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties subject to the condition that the petitioner is not any default in payment of any alimony and maintenance.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
