Mr. Subir Ganguly ...for the State The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Sessions Case No. 109 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, 4th Fast Track Court, Diamond Harbour, South 24 Parganas. It, however, appears that out of eleven accused persons, only eight are appearing before the Additional District & Sessions Judge, while three other accused persons, despite issuance of warrant of arrest did not appear before the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge.

In view of the aforesaid, I dispose of this application giving a direction upon the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge in the Court below to take steps in terms of Section 82 and 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 to ensure that the proceeding is proceeded expeditiously.

Accordingly, CRR 2161 of 2026 is disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
