He misused his liberty and was taken into custody. He is in custody for more than 500 days. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered evidence on record. Statement of the victim and other materials show petitioner had ravished the victim. Trial is in progress.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Trial court is directed to conclude the trial at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed before it for recording evidence without granting adjournments to either of the parties.

Department is directed to communicate the order to the trial court for necessary compliance.
