The petitioner complains of irregularities in mid-day meal distribution scheme at the Lodna Mankhamar Vivekananda Vidyamandir High School. The O. C., Onda Police Station has submitted a report dated 08.02.2023 before this Court.

Reports have been called from the B.D.O.,Onda and the School Education Supervisor. The police have not found any irregularity.

However, since the irregularities in distribution is alleged in a two fold manner i.e. purchase and procurement of material for mid-day meal scheme from the local market and not from MR dealers and that the signatures of the students of

the mid-day meal register is being forged by the para teachers, this Court is inclined to order as follows - The District Magistrate, Bankura shall direct the B.D.O., Onda to conduct a fresh enquiry and obtain a report from him. Such report shall be carefully scrutinised by the District Magistrate, Bankura and appropriate steps should be taken immediately thereafter by the District Magistrate, Bankura.

It is expected that the aforesaid process is completed by the District Magistrate, Bankura within a period of two months from date.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
