(Through Video Conference) Ms. S Samanta ... for the petitioner Mr. Jishnu Chowdhury Mr. A Panja Mallick ... for the State The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the complaint dated July 24, 2021 disclosing commission of cognizable offence, the police did not take any steps thereon. Learned advocate for the State submits that, police registered the complaint as a General Diary. The police enquired into the complaint. The police did not find any such incident occurring on the basis of such complaint.

In view of the fact that there is an alternative, statutory remedy available to the petitioner, I am not minded to interfere as a writ court.

WPA 12056 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as costs.
