Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that information which was furnished with the Officerin-Charge, Hirbandh Police Station was not acted upon in spite of the fact that his cheque was misplaced.

The petitioner submits that subsequently he has been subjected to a criminal proceeding because of the misplaced cheque.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that pursuant to the information furnished by the petitioner, police authorities have registered a case being Hirbandh Police Station Case No. 23 of 2021 dated 02.07.2021. The police authorities on completion of investigation has already submitted charge-sheet.

Having considered the fact that steps have been taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 12286 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
