(A) 2836 of 2022 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 14.06.2022 in connection with Kaliachak Police Station Case No.1313 of 2021 dated 25.11.2021 under Sections 21(c)/22(c)/27A/28/29 of the NDPS Act.

Petitioner Mr. Anisur Rahman ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Ranadeb Sengupta ... ... for the State Heard the learned advocate appearing for both the parties. We have considered the materials on record including CDRs. which show communication between the petitioner and co-accused from whom narcotic substance above commercial quantity was recovered. Petitioner was absconding and could not be interrogated during investigation. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
