Mr. Srijib Chakraborty Mr. Aditya Mondal Mr. Debdut Banerjee ... for the petitioners Mr. Parashar Baidya ... for the University Petitioner No. 2 is a B.E. College, namely Deben Mahato Teachers' Training Institute, and petitioner no. 1 is the Teacher-in-charge of the said college.

The petitioners contend that, due to certain technical issues, the college was unable to complete the admission process for 97 students for the academic session 2024-2026, through the university web portal. The names of the students are listed at pages 26 to 30 of the writ petition. It is an admitted position that the names of the said students appeared in the merit list prepared by the university.

In view of the above, the college is directed to approach the university for the admission of the 97 students within three days from the date of this order. Upon such a request, the university shall

regularise their admission, subject to the fulfillment of all necessary formalities by the college.

It is clarified that this order shall not be treated as a precedent in future cases.

The allegations made in the present writ petition shall be deemed to have been denied by the university. Accordingly, WPA 11231 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
