The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the Officer-in-Charge, Beliabera Police Station in taking steps in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner in the month of March 2024.

The Officer-in-Charge, Beliabera Police Station has forwarded a report signed on 8th May, 2024 mentioning that no complaint was lodged by the petitioner before the police station.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition, it appears that a complaint addressed to the Officer-incharge, Beliabera Police Station signed by the petitioner was put to post on 8th March, 2023 and the postal

article was duly delivered to the Officer-in-Charge of the police station on 9th March, 2024.

The statement of the police that no complaint was filed by the petitioner appears to be an incorrect one.

The police is directed to take prompt necessary steps in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner annexed at pages 43 to 45 of the writ petition and investigate the same in accordance with law. Report filed by the Officer-in-Charge, Beliabera Police Station signed on 8th May, 2024 is taken on record.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
